When defining the rack depth, it is recommended that you quote the maximum rackmount equipment body depth excluding handles and connectors. Default clearances for handles and/or connectors is cover depth + 1.0", and the minimum depth for both front and back covers is 1.5".

Equipment weight is used to identify ergonomic handling considerations as well as the appropriate shock isolation configuration for your specific rackmount case requirements.
